This is an extremely dangerous carrier design, especially for small or young pets. The box has a long pole that runs all the way down the side of the box for the animal to get stuck in. We recently went on a trip and used this carrier for our kitty to give her a little extra mobility for a long time. instead of his normal stretcher and he managed to stick his whole head between the grille and the carrier wall for about 5 minutes while he was in the crate while we loaded the car. Luckily my wife saw him wriggling in the box and was able to pull him out but the pole was around his neck so he couldn't get his head free and was having trouble breathing. If that happened along the way, we could lose our kitten because of that box. I strongly recommend looking at other options that don't have such a dangerous design flaw.
