I was planning to connect my ASUS mesh network to an Ethernet backhaul, so I bought a lot of cables. I was able to connect between the first and second router with no problems (about 50 minutes). The connection between the 2nd and 3rd routers required a new ethernet line running through the walls and attic to connect them. I called my grandson to work and gave him the task of going to the attic and actually running the wires under my line. He settled in the attic (3rd floor) and I went to the first floor to knock on the wall so he could find the coax cable to the TV. I was planning to replace the existing RJ59 to RJ6 cable at the same time (I have no idea why Comcast/Xfinity even used the smaller cable). My grandson got as close as possible to where I was tapping, so I went to the attic to pull the cord so he could find it. We found that a handyman I hired to cover part of the attic so we could use it for storage installed the flooring just above the cable and the hole they ran the cable through. I wasn't planning on ripping out the floor to run cables so I'll just keep using RJ59 and wireless backhaul. The connection I made improved my internet service, and I built some long ethernet patch cords so I could move some routers to less visible locations. The cable worked great.
