Good cable, easy to work with, except box

Used to add a purlin to our house, nothing special, worked. The only thing there is. it didn't pull out of the box very well. I got it in the right position, but I only pulled a few feet before it snapped into place. And you really don't want to force it because it can compress the cable. So I just opened the side of the box and pulled it out that way. Plus it worked as expected, was easy to disassemble and sew up, and it also had leg markings so you know how much is left in the box. And solidโ€ฆ

A great cable replaced the one I originally intended to use.

It's great. I bought these after reading review after review on many different cables and brands. I wanted this to be a "just in case" addition when I need more in my house. I already had the large chunks of cable I wanted to use from a previous install and I just added a few rooms and ran short cables from the patch panel to the switch and router. I tried making cables from the leftover pieces I had, they were too soft and flexible, couldn't hold their shape after lengthening the internalโ€ฆ

but I like the fact that I can use arbitrary lengths and .

My first attempt at making my own cables made the mistake of buying Cat6 originally, returned it and bought this Cat5e which is all I need for gigabit. With a crimping tool, cable tester, RJ45 connectors and some spade lugs, I went to the races to make my own cables. I know I can buy premade ones, but I love the fact that I can create custom length pieces and enjoy the fact that I can make them myself.

Great Product: Ethernet Cable

twisted much tighter than Orange and Brown. After making about 20 patch cords, my fingers hurt because the twists were so tight. It took about 2 turns to straighten the orange and brown wires and 4-5 turns to straighten the blue and green wires. The orange and brown appeared to be twisted together as tightly as most CAT5E cables. A tighter twist will not cause any problems. Solid copper core. Not a single piece of aluminum Cooper Clad scrap.

I have no professional networking experience, although I study at school. I recently installed a few computers around the house and didn't want to pay exorbitant prices for pre-made cables. I also wanted to be able to build some cables using what I learned from the course. It took me a while to find copper cable at a bargain price, but that's about it. I only ran a few wires around the house so I didn't need a 1,000 foot box of wires. The 250 feet that came with the kit suited me well. What Iโ€ฆ

It's easy to work with, but still cheap.

Like it or not, I'm not going to leave top-notch blower cable in my house. I mainly make patch cords for desktops, routers/switches, a few NAS devices and so on. I won't spend two or three times as much for a fancy cable. This cable is fairly well balanced. The overall construction isn't very strong, but at the same time this is perhaps the only cable I've used at home where the wire stripper built into my crimping tool didn't cut through the twisted pairs either. light enough, and while I'mโ€ฆ

Worked great. fits cables and accessories

I was planning to connect my ASUS mesh network to an Ethernet backhaul, so I bought a lot of cables. I was able to connect between the first and second router with no problems (about 50 minutes). The connection between the 2nd and 3rd routers required a new ethernet line running through the walls and attic to connect them. I called my grandson to work and gave him the task of going to the attic and actually running the wires under my line. He settled in the attic (3rd floor) and I went to theโ€ฆ
