We've been using it for less than a week and I can already see a difference in the shape of his head. Our physical therapist recommended a $118 Mimos pillow but it didn't have stock so I ordered this one so we were out. I'm not sure I even need one now. Although a pillow is not recommended for sleeping, we do place it in our child's dock where they sleep through the night. I'm comfortable with this solution because it can't roll yet. It has a really strong odor as others have said, but I wouldn't call it "chemical". It's not pleasant, but it's not scary either.
