My girlfriend suggested I try my hand at making coin rings (like I lack the work between assembling a scale model and finishing furniture) so I chose this one Dorn to get started. I've already made a few rings and as far as I can tell it's up to the task. I clamped it in a vise and used it to form rings with mixed success, mostly due to my inexperience. The finish seems to hold up well and is quite durable. The spike has no grooves like some. Dimensions are clearly marked. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase. Now if only I could find more free time to do things.
