Description of Precision Steel Ring Mandrel, 11-1/2 ⚙️ Inches – Ideal for Jewelry Crafting, MAN-255.00

Threaded bottom for use with EuroTool Ring Mandrel Vise (VIS-105.55). Ideal for creating and shaping rings. Includes gradual taper for sizes 1 to 15 and measures 11.5 inches in length. Made of hardened tool steel and a Polished Satin steel finish prevents rusting. Has shallow marks, also available with grooves (MAN-260.00).

Must have tools for handyman!

I liked the weight when it arrived. Yes, it has some oil on it, but just wash it with dish soap, dry it, and you're good to go. I immediately used it to fix the bands on some old rings that were bent. I look forward to using it to make my scroll rings. Using this one you will never want to hit sterling silver or gold with a regular hammer. (yes people have done that) If you want texture use a block of steel. Use a rubber mallet instead. Loved the price and the super fast shipping!

The finish seems to hold up well and is quite durable. The mandrel is not grooved

My girlfriend suggested I try my hand at making coin rings (like I lack the work between assembling a scale model and finishing furniture) so I chose this one Dorn to get started. Very bad processing.

This item took a long time to ship through Revain and I am sorry that it is out of stock as I would not order again. This is a very heavy mandrel and would have been great for what I ordered it for as it was intended for ring shaping. But it involves turning furrows from a lathe. You can hardly take the ring off once you've finished shaping it, and the inside of the ring is marked with these stripes that need to be sanded and polished. I'll get another one from somewhere else because I can't…

Good product but be careful with the notch.

This product is exactly what you think it is. Nice heavy ring mandrel that you can precisely wind, size and work with rings. One thing I wasn't up for was the jagged grooves that run the length. It may or may not have been listed in the description at the time of my purchase, but if I had noticed I would not have bought it.
