I bought this receiver because it was CNet's most popular product and also because I've had very good luck with Sony products. I have a very basic home system but later wanted to add more devices. This product definitely fits. They helped me install the system because I can't strip the wires to save my life and the wires needed to go through the walls/floor :-). However, I found the receiver connections were well marked, the instructions were clear and easy to set up as described. Some settings needed tweaking (e.g. a simple setup found my speakers were large despite being small), but the Sony menu allows for quick fixes.
