How to heat it evenly and how best to wear it

I use Amla (Indian Gooseberry) hair care product - look after my review if you need a great recipe for your hair. To get the most out of the treatment I had to add some heat. I've researched dozens of products and even tried the style of hat that attaches to the hair dryer. I really wanted something that didn't tether me to an outlet, so some sort of wireless option was left. There were different options but this was similar to what I was looking for. Having used it several times I was not disappointed. I have a few tips to share based on the fact that you had some trouble initially: Use it inside out. There are a lot of seams inside and if you want to use a plastic lid to prevent the inside from getting dirty, if used properly it will catch on the edge of the plastic lid when you try to move it to warm it up. Also, it's just more comfortable to wear inside out, it also feels a bit roomier. I have long hair down to the middle of my back and I style it on top of my head with no problem, add a plastic cap and then this cap. Besides that, I have Caucasian hair. If you have really thick hair, you may need to go for a larger cap. Also, I use a plastic cap to keep it clean but you don't have to, it has a waterproof fabric and if you have hair product you can just wipe it off. My second tip is how to heat it up. The first few times I got frustrated with not being able to heat it evenly. I tried heating it top to top, top to bottom, inside out, right side, one minute at a time in 30 second intervals, and cranked it halfway, but nothing seemed to work. Then I tried laying it on its side so the sides of the rubber band are touching, I did it for 30 seconds, flipped it to the other side and did another 30 seconds... voila, great and evenly heated. I use this for a total of 2 hours and get heat for about 30 minutes so I heat it 4 times. The first time I do about 35 seconds on each side, after that because it's still a bit warm I do 25 seconds on each side. It comes out hot but not scalding. Also, I believe it would do double duty as a heat pack if you have a stiff neck or shoulder. For less than $20, you really can't go wrong.
