Bought these bags to group and store skeins of yarn. They are strong enough for a bundle of 3.5 ounce skeins or 6 ounce skeins. The drawstring closure is of better thickness and quality than I expected. The top of the pouch is folded over and sealed to cover the drawstring. I don't use these bags for yarn transport and the drawstring - I'm not sure the bags will hold that much weight being lifted by the drawstring - I need to check how much weight the plastic bag will stretch. and deformation. As you can see from the photos these bags are not airtight which can be handy for storing items that need little airflow such as clothing, yarn or fabric to keep them from getting wet. The bottom edges are 90 degree right angles with no gussets. One of the pictures in the listing is of a pair of sneakers in a bag and it looks like there might be bottom panels but there aren't. These are good quality bags and I am happy with them for storing items I want to group. I'm not sure I would choose this style if I had to carry things in a bag. Someone should test this function.
