I ordered two pairs in two sizes for my daughters 4 and 6 years old. After reading reviews saying I should order a size up I decided to order a size and a half up to allow some room to grow as after six months I don't want to buy them again. I was a wide size and I think they still have the width of a 'regular' shoe, although I usually buy wide shoes for their casual shoes. Of course, a size and a half is a bit long for her, but I just let her wear thick plush socks, which works well because the shoes look like the 'breaking in' process is uncomfortable. That way, as the shoes break in, they can wear thicker socks, and as their feet grow, I'll give them thinner socks to wear with their shoes. The shoes look nice. I'm not a coin specialist, but they sound good to me. My 4 year old daughter was a bit skeptical about the knocking noises when she first tried them on, but she tends to be suspicious of new experiences and then follows my 6 year old daughter in everything she does. I'm sure she will get used to it and enjoy it.
