I needed this to work with my old Dell D-Sub VGA monitor. didn't work initially. I rarely restart my MacBook Air unless required by a software update. I'm on Mojave 10.14.1. Everything else worked the first time. after a reboot it started to work. One thing I noticed is that the second monitor doesn't flicker every time it's connected. My other OWC dock has an annoying few seconds with the same monitor constantly changing modes. This product is good for that difference. My MacBook Air is gold, I want the color to match. Another small request is the use of non-slip rubber on the top so the bottom of the MacBook Air doesn't make metal-on-metal noises during assembly. The docking station doesn't get hot at 25C - I don't have a high power adapter, I have an adapter that plugs into my Macbook Air 2018. Everything ok, satisfied with the purchase.
