Review on White Camp'N RV Exhaust Vent Cover - Optimized for Range Hood Ventilation in RVs by Lamont Manjrekar

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The good thing is that you can close this hole when not in use.

My trailer's original ventilation was louvered but had no screen and I had a couple of wasp nests in my exhaust fan above my stove. I originally wanted to install in the same style but with a screen behind it. After seeing this model with the ability to snap the lid on to keep bugs and critters out when not in use, I bought this instead. When using my trailer in northern Michigan, it's also nice to keep the lid closed in cold weather to keep out drafts. Installing this vent cover was very easy. Remove the existing screws, scrape off the old caulk, apply new caulk to the new cover and attach. It was an exact match for the hole and holes on the old block. Very happy with this purchase. The only thing I noticed is that in strong winds and with the lid closed, there is a "vibrating" sound as air flows through the slots around the lid. This has only happened a couple of times so it's not critical.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Poor repairability
