Good quality, great price!

A good replacement for a broken (due to a tree branch) and yellowed Ventline canopy. It's no heavier than the Ventline canopy, except the center support bar is a bit thicker, so I doubt it'll survive a branch hit any better. Even though the mounting screws are included, they are smaller in diameter than the original screws in my application, so I couldn't use them. Overall I am happy with the price paid.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some bugs

Very light but works

I used this on my '98 Southwind. Initial ventilation was powered by a cord attached to a fan switch. After 23 years cables etc beyond repair and I couldn't find a replacement. It's kind of a gap fix but looks ok. The little levers that keep the door closed are very weak. I think they could do a little bit better but overall I think everything will be fine. We don't use the fan much. If I can live another 23 years, I'm too old to worry. . . .+

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Doubtful

Nice simple lockable vent

I bought this vent to go with my new RV hood which has a larger outlet than my old unit. Installation was just a little tricky because I had to cut through layers of board, foam, and aluminum. Not the product's fault at all, but I can't say it was super easy! I like the locking tabs on the vent which can then be left closed when the RV is stored to keep out bugs or cold drafts. After the hole was cut, the installation went smoothly. It will take me a while to actually install the hood because…

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Negative impression

Great product compared to others.

Went to several RV dealers and utilities only to find cheap vent covers for sale. ALL I have looked at in stores had plastic protrusions and sharp edges from the molding process and were made cheaply and flimsy. I chose this product which cost less money. Doesn't matter! This vent cap was made from thicker plastic and properly cut during the molding process. Also, for less money, this cover came with stainless steel screws so I didn't have to use the rusty screws that held the old vent cover in

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Ice white but will yellow over time

The distinctive ventline cover on our 3 year old caravan has really suffered from the sun so I took this vent cover to improve the looks, I specifically wanted one ice-white surface and that's what you get here! Stainless steel screws are included but I reused the white painted screws that were already on our camper to keep the look. All screw holes match perfectly. The outer edge is more rounded than the old one, which I also like. The air duct for the rear vent was much deeper than the one I…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Functionality

The good thing is that you can close this hole when not in use.

My trailer's original ventilation was louvered but had no screen and I had a couple of wasp nests in my exhaust fan above my stove. I originally wanted to install in the same style but with a screen behind it. After seeing this model with the ability to snap the lid on to keep bugs and critters out when not in use, I bought this instead. When using my trailer in northern Michigan, it's also nice to keep the lid closed in cold weather to keep out drafts. Installing this vent cover was very easy.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Poor repairability
