Review on Pentel Arts Pointliner Fine Tip Drawing Pen, 0.05mm, Black Ink, Box of 12 Pens (S20P-05A) by Sasha Hsiao

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great pens, familiar ergonomics

A few days later I received my pack of 12 pens. These pens are the cheapest of their kind at Revain and perform superbly for writing and illustration. I have a firm grip and tend to apply pressure when using pens, so I need one that will withstand wear and still maintain a fine line for my smaller than average handwriting, but still provide enough stability to get a sharp edge. Compared with Unipin thin line. 0.1, which has been my favorite thin pencil for almost ten years, I would say the line is about 0.05mm thicker and the resistance is 50% less (which means the movement of the pen on paper is pretty smooth) and it is no limit. world to me, but it's something to consider if you're buying them for specific illustration purposes. I have yet to test durability, but the flow of ink out of the box suggests these pens last longer than Unipins, which I wore out the curves after about 15-20 pages of writing. I think the reduced resistance will eventually encourage me to put less effort into writing. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and expect the pens to last a year.

Pros
  • Waterproof ink dries quickly and mixes well with watercolors
Cons
  • small items
