Good 7.1 Wireless Headset for PS4

Summary: This headset is lightweight, comfortable, has good sound, clear sound, good microphone and surprisingly good 7.1 surround sound. I did a 2 hour comparison with my wired Astro MixAmp. and I was surprised by the results. Highly recommended. About me: I have been using flagship headphones for both music and gaming for over 7 years. About my headphones: Audeze LCD-2 (balanced) / Ultrasone Edition 8 LE / Beyerdynamic DT990 / AKG K702 / Creative Aurvana Live ! / Astro MixampReview: I tested Destiny 2 for 2 hours and also chatted with another audiophile friend in a group chat. Pure and natural sound. - Sound Separation I had no trouble hearing different sounds coming from different places. There is a scene with refugees after the first invasion and I could hear everything that was going on (people crying, people coughing, sparks) - Sound quality Sound quality was pretty good, sometimes I forgot I had headphones on. I heard crackling fires, explosions, screams, rockets, etc. - Surround Sound (7.1 VSS) There is no such thing as 7.1 or 5.1 in headphones because it's physically impossible. However, there are algorithms such as Dolby Headphone, DTS Headphone:X or Virtual Surround Sound that use 5.1 signals and transform the sound in such a way that our brains believe we are listening in 360 degrees. I tested the following 2 setups. :1) PS4 -> optical cable -> MixAmp Pro -> Creative Aurvana Live!2) PS4 -> new gold headsets with VSS enabled3) option 1) with Dolby off 4) option 2) with VSS off Tested in 3-4 places, by closing their eyes and rotating the character to check how good the sound placement was. I've heard the difference on both a gold headset and a mixamp with their respective surround sound algorithms disabled (that's good, isn't it?). Now let's compare the gold headset and the mixamp. I heard almost the same positioning. In all honesty, they came pretty close to picking a winner. I'd have to use other headphones with a wider soundstage to likely notice the difference. Conclusion: For me, the problem is plugging in cables and having cables every time I want to play. It's nice to just put on a headset and that's it. Before purchasing this headset, I considered the Astro A50, HyperX Cloud II, and SteelSeries Arctis 7, among others. However, if you're just interested in good 7.1 wireless on your PS4 (and PS3), this headset is hard to beat. say they are better than the Astro A50 (want to try them one day). but for this price. that's a really good offer.
