Review on 8 16 Stainless Steel Prong BCP1024 by Craig Sexton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It is excellent.

3/8-16 x 7/16 in. Four Prong Stainless Steel T-Nuts (BCP1024) These are superior stainless steel T-Nuts. They are almost 1 inch in diameter, which is enough for good clearance between the pins and the body of the nut. (That said, undersized tees with teeth on the threaded portion of the tee can cause those bolts to coat the wood.) There was no problem with the bolt threads stripping the 3/8 inch threads - they can heavily overdressed. My first project with them was to make 1 inch PVC trim that is about the same density as oak. 16" deep (flush mount). If possible, use a drill for these steps to get perfect 90 degree cuts. - Drill a 3/8" hole perfectly centered for a 3/8"-16 screw - A 3/8" Forstner bit is easiest to center. - Drill a 3/8" hole to a depth of 29/64", 1/2" to accommodate the body of the tee. - Tighten a 3/8"-16 bolt with a stainless steel washer to pull the tabs into the base or use for this clamp/vise.

Pros
  • Width: .977 in.
Cons
  • Not all will fit
