I use it on my Tamron 150-600. A small protrusion protruding from the rim at one end prevents this large lens from rotating. The stem of this Tamron has only one groove, unlike the stem of other telescope lenses (e.g. Nikon 70-200/2.8 VR II), and rotating the lens even after tightening is a real problem. The plate is great. But the screw doesn't match the plate, that's the only reason I gave it one star less. The screw material doesn't feel as strong as it should be. I don't think the camera pulls away from him - he's not that weak. The included hex wrench and the groove on the back of the screw were slightly damaged when tightened and I was unable to tighten it any further. However, it also has a groove where you can use a quarter (a dollar coin or slightly thicker slab is better) and you don't need an allen wrench. A smaller Allen key is also provided for the two security screws on the lower ends. I previously loosened one of the screws to install the PhotoClam tripod ball head clamp and the Sirui L10 monopod head clamp. For the price I can't really complain.
