This pillow is an interesting alternative to the usual pillows in the world. It's incredibly soft and you can't wait to put your head in it. It also feels fairly cool, but doesn't stay cool all night. Like everything else, after so many minutes it will heat up where your head touches. The cool down time isn't bad, but if you're a sleeper and need a cool spot for your head so you can nap, you'll find that you wake up to move like everything else. We had: 1) It seems to take forever to air it out and get rid of the fumes the foam initially gives off. Even when a fan blew on him, it was many days before he became bearable enough to sleep on it without getting the smell every time. 2) The condition of the foam does not match the price. As you can see from the pictures, the foam has spongy patches all over it that's cracking up the sides and we even found a tear (which could have come from shipping in a bag rather than a box). So. it's incredibly soft in a unique way and quite cool to the touch. We can easily see the holes that help him breathe and maybe even lower his temperature by a degree or two, but nothing incredible. It has a strong odor that's difficult to get rid of, and the material is far from flawless when it comes to the state it's in. This comfort translates into something better than a regular pillow during use, but it won't go beyond that.
