Purchased for my MacBook Pro with Touch Bar for UHS-II SD card reader from my Sony Actions - Cameras and Fujifilm X-T20. It's the only one I could find that offers USB 3.1 speed, MBPw/TB's own Type-C connector, and UHS-II compatibility for less than $20. There are a few others that fit the speed and compatibility specs but cost well over $30, including SanDisk and Sony. You can use any cable with Lexar's solution, but that's another thing you have to buy. It delivers the speed you expect and cuts transfer times in half with UHS-II specification SD and Micro SD cards. The convenient plug and compact size make it easy to put in your pocket and forget about it. until you need it. A real time saver for those working with high-resolution RAW image files, 1080p HD high frame rate video or 4K video. It's even fast enough to edit files directly from the card if you wish. Keep in mind that this will make the reader a little warm, but it's possible if you don't have enough memory.
