My son's trimmed cat doesn't like being held so she doesn't like it but my rescue cat Abby purrs or sleeps all the time when we walk around the block together. The shoulder strap is wide and comfortable and adjustable, but is slightly longer for shorter people who want to carry the crampon stowed like a carry bag at waist height. My 5ft 8in son loved it. I found she swayed a little more than I would have liked since she was level with my thigh bones, but AbbyCat didn't seem to care. The collar is detachable and most cats can easily put ANY collar on, so a chest strap should be used for cat safety. this is good and bad, so you have to be careful when placing a fighting and determined cat lest it come out; There is a small velcro to secure them but also to attach the cat to the harness.
