There is no quality control - for the price they should last for more than zero.
Like others I decided to take a chance even after reading the negative reviews here. And like others, I am now writing this review myself in hopes of warning others. We ordered two mugs. One, as expected, no problems at all. After using the second one for the first time, we found that it had a misaligned seam on the neck of the jug that leaked when inverted. a pot or other dispenser with a neck. Our dispenser is a screw-on nozzle, which is a big problem. If they were 1/5 the price a 50% reject rate might be forgivable, but at over $30 a pitcher they cost broke the deal.
