I know most people will use this as a selfie holder but I find it perfect for a small desk lamp and phone holder. At first I was surprised by the quality of this product for the price. The two arms are incredibly flexible yet equally strong. It was very easy to just clip the device to my desk and once I plugged it into a USB port on my computer (or you can plug it into a wall outlet with an adapter) it just worked. Excellent. I clip the phone into the holder and it holds securely. And while I don't really take selfies, I use this phone stand to listen to music on my phone and it doesn't take up space on my desk. I feel like I have a raised screen right there - which is great. My daughter stole this thing from me for the day because she was working on a painting project. She inserted her iPhone into the clip to see the image she intended to use as a reference. Then she turned on the light, which gave her enough light to work the entire desk. I didn't think I really needed a selfie light but I'm glad I tried it and I use it a lot more. than expected.
