For a long time I've been looking for a tripod for holidays with limited space. I have a $300 aluminum and steel tripod that I carry with me sometimes, but it can take up a lot of space, and every time I take it on a car trip, my wife gets annoyed at the inconvenience of packing and me awkward carry things. Thing. I found a few under $150 that were well packaged but one fell apart when I needed it most and the other just wasn't small enough and not big enough for me, I'm 6ft 2in tall. So I took the shot with the Zomei M5 Travel Camera and I have to say it was exactly what I was looking for. The aluminum frame makes it lightweight and when folded it turns into a small travel pillow. I could fit about 5 of these books comfortably on a standard sized bookshelf to give you an idea of its dimensions. Plastic or composite leg clips are strong but I would prefer metal but then again recycled metals seem to break more than composites these days.
