So I decided to encode some old vinyl records and tapes to MP3 format with this versatile system. I was expecting limited audio quality, but good enough for a 256 byte encoder to make it acceptable after moving it to a flash drive. First, the CD door wouldn't open, and based on the $30 return shipping fee and my cost of sending it back to the factory, I would expect to spend another $40-50 just to fix the door. NOT WORTH. I guess I have to live without the CD. Then of course the second complaint I read about in the Revain reviews, that of the phono stage not returning at the end of the album, was also true. It's just turning to vinyl after the album is done. I've tried turning the power switch on the back of the device to "off" and then back on, but that didn't help. In summary, if I spent $40-$50 and got a subpar device like this, I would be happy with the quality I get, but for $150 plus for this device, I'm a little less impressed. . Don't waste money. The warranty is a joke because of the shipping costs and the only parts that actually work are of poor quality.
