I recently had a badly soiled ankle and bought this brace to help with lower and upper ankle sprains while I healed. It has really helped me become more flexible while also supporting a weak and healing joint. I had a low (common) ankle sprain, a minor high ankle sprain, and an avulsion fracture on the inside of my ankle. Once I could handle the lateral pressure of a brace on the inside of my ankle, it quickly became my brace of choice. I've run a few miles in it now that I've recovered a bit and it works well enough for that. The only downside is that it puts some back pressure on my calf after a while, which isn't ideal after a mile or two. I've since switched to a basic neoprene bandage that offers minimal support. Overall this is a great brace especially if you have a mild high ankle sprain. However, my goal is not to need it as soon as possible. not because it's bad braces, but because I'd rather be cured and not need braces at all.
