Not for distal fibula fractures!

I bought this to use when transitioning from hiking boots to regular shoes to add lateral stability to my ankle after a distal fibula fracture. This support provides lateral stability. But good luck wearing shoes on top of that, unless you're just wearing flip flops. And he's pressing on the bone that I broke, which hurts a bit. No elevator for me and no return.

BEST in Ankle Brace

I bought these after buying a cheaper option for an ankle sprain and I regret not buying them straight away. This is by far the BEST ankle brace I have ever had. I've tried all the lace and stirrup styles and this one is very comfortable with both support for the sides and movement of the foot. I would buy 100 times more and pay everything for it. Amazing ankle brace, look no further.

Good stretch after compression adjustment

Just a few design changes and this could be a great product. It is easy to put on and take off and is as comfortable as you would expect from an ankle brace. My biggest disappointment is the inability to get adequate lateral compression between the two hard panels. I solved this problem by wrapping the outer Velcro strap around the entire bracelet at its widest point between the hard plates. If the manufacturer added another strap so the user could increase the pressure a bit, it would be a…

My mother, who has previously had an ankle prosthesis and several other surgeries due to osteoarthritis and a severe flat foot deformity, can't stop admiring this brace. Her replacement was about 3 years ago, but she still can't walk barefoot at home and sometimes doesn't want to deal with wearing orthopedic shoes at home. This brace gives her incredible support and stabilizes her ankle while providing some much-needed balance. The price was extremely reasonable; most of us know only too well…

Wasted money on medical supplies and equipment

Like others who reviewed this item, I couldn't wear it with running shoes. I found them too big (I bought the small ones because I'm a size 8.5) and got my toes caught in the shoes making it impossible to walk comfortably. This is great if you plan on walking around the house barefoot. I bought these on the recommendation of a podiatrist after breaking my ankle (and after wearing boots for 6 weeks). At least I didn't buy it from his office for $101 and only spent $35. I've used it for a few…

Fairly stable, needs some work

Probably the best ankle stabilizer on the market. After my ankle replacement surgery, I found I needed to keep my ankle from "wiggling" and it works well. This allows my foot to move back and forth without swaying. My only complaint that gives it 4 stars is that they put the "sticky" side of the velcro on the outside where it "sticks" to any fabric it comes in contact with or skin scratched who touched her. I wish they would just flip the Velcro because it covers the entire top of the brace. It

Pretty good for high ankle sprain

I really busted my ankle recently and bought this brace to help with low and high ankle sprains while I healed. It has really helped me become more flexible while also supporting a weak and healing joint. I had a low (common) ankle sprain, a minor high ankle sprain, and an avulsion fracture on the inside of my ankle. Once I could handle the lateral pressure of a brace on the inside of my ankle, it quickly became my brace of choice. I've run a few miles in it now that I've recovered a bit and it
