Review on 🐾 8Lb Bag of Grandma Lucy's Artisan Freeze-Dried Grain Free Pre-Mix Dog Food by Omar Allen

I definitely recommend the transition period

My dog had a little trouble adjusting to it. I didn't take him out of his feed. Just jumped with both feet. I would definitely recommend a transitional season, maybe with squash to help. However, he loves it. He used to eat Blue Buffalo Dry Pellets and now his bowel movements are (yes I know) much firmer. They are also about half the size. I think it's good. My understanding is that this means there are fewer fillers in the food. I bake about 10 pounds of chicken breasts, cut them into chunks, shred them in my ninja, and then measure out two portions in a ziplock bag, then freeze them. That makes about 20 1 1/2 cup bags, which is enough for breakfast and dinner for my 45 lb husky/corgi mix. I just take a bag out of the freezer and put it in the fridge in the morning. Ten pounds of chicken breasts cost me about $20, so basically $1 a day for meat. The premix bag took me about 20 days and is still half full. At $45 for about 40 days, that's $1.13 per day. So I'm getting about $2.13 a day to give my buddy a nutritious diet without all that unfamiliar commercial dog food. It's like a deal for me.
