It works and is an effective replacement for the original BMW cup holder.
There is a 2001 BMW. The original coasters are a joke. Not only are they so low on the mug that the mug easily tips over, but they are also thin and break easily. This replacement, on the other hand, fits snugly in the cavity and is large (deep) (about 1 inch) to hold coffee mugs well. Installation took about 5 seconds. Hats off!
