Review on πŸ’Ί Black Hydraulic Saddle Stool on Wheels - Adjustable Height for Clinic, Dentist, Spa, Massage, Medical Salons, and Studios by Geboor by Dawn Miranda

Very easy to assemble but too uncomfortable

I am in dire need of a chair that will accommodate my back after years of injury. I have tried kneeling chairs but they are too hard for my knees. This style of chair gets rave reviews, but again, it doesn't work for me. First, the seat is too wide. Perhaps this seat width is typical of saddles, but it rubs very badly on the inside and underside of the legs, causing me to constantly fidget in my chair for relief. After sitting on it for about half an hour I get bruises on my insides/under my thighs that last for over a day. I have replaced the casters with premium casters in case that makes the chair more comfortable. Rolls much better, but not more comfortably. I added a soft, ergonomic seat cushion on top because I figured the extra padding would be enough. This surprisingly made the situation worse. Another problem. The ad states that the back and hips are relieved because the legs are splayed apart and down. But even on the highest chair, my legs should be raised so that my thighs are parallel to the floor. This results in too little of an angle between my torso and hips to "open" my hip flexors for relief like they do in a kneeling chair. Another problem. Care must be taken when getting in and out of the chair as you must balance on it before putting your full weight on it while stabilizing the wheels to prevent the chair from rolling away from you. Our house has marble and wooden floors, so a fall can be very hard. You can look for upgraded wheels with a locking mechanism. Also, I assembled the chair in less than 2 minutes, but as I prepared to return it I realized it wasn't going to fall apart. Other reviewers mention this as well. The inner vertical post will not come out of the seat. And the metal leg ring that encloses the stand doesn't come off the post either. So I don't even know how this chair is returned. I don't want to use a hammer to remove the pieces to avoid damaging the chair. So be aware that if you try this and it doesn't provide the advertised relief, it can be difficult to get it back. This chair gave me no relief from my back or hip pain. Worse, it's very uncomfortable. In addition, it is almost impossible to detect a return. I was really hoping it would be THE CHAIR. Next stop is the treadmill table.
