UPDATE: I've been using them for about a month. For soup, chili, yoghurt parfait and burrito platters. I really love these bowls! I was surprised they held up so well in the microwave and dishwasher! They seem fragile, but to be honest they seem so strong. I've used them all multiple times and over and over again. There was some discoloration when the chili was microwaved, but not as bad as my Rubbermaid bowls. Aside from being long lasting, they really helped with portion control. I've really noticed that my clothes have loosened up since I started cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner in these bowls. I will probably buy more as 15 just isn't enough. Upgraded from 3 stars to 4. Bought these for cooking. They're the perfect size for 1/2 cup yogurt, 1 cup fruit, and 1/2 cup granola! So this week I made 5 parfaits for lunch the day I got them, that was last Sunday, now it's Wednesday. I've been happy with them so far. They are exactly the size I was looking for. I believe they claim they are dishwasher and microwave safe, but I'm not sure I would put them in the microwave. They can be ok, but I believe that after a short period of time they have to be submitted. Three of the four lids I've used this week are peeling off the glossy finish, which raises questions about actual durability for me. I hand washed them with a traditional soft sponge and dish soap before use so I'm not sure what could have caused the containers to chip so quickly other than genuine quality. They appear to be airtight as far as yogurt and fruit juice goes. go. Great price good quality but to be honest they fit so well into my cooking dinners. So I will keep using them.
