Weak materials for the key part. And no substitutions.

First off I want to say this project is fun but don't expect to hear anything but horrible noises from it and be careful how many times you turn the crank because the critical element is off very light wood and there are no replacement parts for what I broke (crankshaft). it's not like this. Now I have to consider whether it is currently worth asking for spare parts.
