I got this pillow for my boyfriend. He wakes up with throbbing/pounding headaches if his neck isn't properly supported. He old (granted very cheap) pillow was never high enough to begin with and had to fold it in half for the correct height. When shopping I like this pillow because you had the option to make is higher or lower. The pillow is absolutely perfect and he loves it. It doesn't get hot and the higher option is perfect. We were snuggling and I stole half the pillow and didn't even realize till he teasing asked how I like the pillow. I would recommend this pillow. But he's only had it for a few uses so I can't say anything for how long it will last but fingers crossed for longevity. Do know when you receive this product. It's tightly bound and needs to be unpack and left to puff back up.
