Review on Sony WI1000X/B: Black Wireless Behind-Neck In-Ear Headphones with Premium Noise Cancelling by Agung Budiyanto ᠌

Very pleased with this purchase, will recommend it to everyone!

I had to write an application to change headphone modes automatically. It became very convenient. Different pros: - Amazing rich sound, it impresses from the first second. Before that, I didn’t even think that bluetooth headphones could sound so good. And this is doubly great, given the support for the aptX codec. - I prefer custom nozzles, but I must admit that the complete ones are very good. I don't know how they did it, but they fit very well in the ears, although there is nothing special about their construction. Accordingly, the sound does not deteriorate and does not change at all as you move and move your head. - Amazing active noise canceling. What is impressive is not even how well it dampens noises, you won’t surprise anyone with this now, but the fact that it absolutely does not affect the sound quality of music. When I used other headphones, the bass disappeared along with the noise. There is no such problem here at all. Noise canceling can be turned off even at home. - Passthrough mode - the opposite of noise reduction, the ability to turn on listening to ambient sounds. Useful when you need to talk to someone without removing your headphones, or if you just don't like to completely isolate yourself from surrounding sounds. It is worth noting that this mode can be turned on without turning off the music, and using the application on the phone, you can adjust the ambient volume. - Pretty stable signal. I was able to get the sound to stutter by covering the pocket with my hands, but this is rare in normal use. If you want 100% stability, you can disable aptX through the application on your phone. - Included are nozzles of various sizes and types (regular / foam) and a case. - They hold a charge for a long time, although I manage to land them in a day. - The ability to connect headphones with a wire, although this is not very convenient (it is done via a microUSB connector). - Sync volume with smartphone. With its cons. Disadvantages mainly relate to indirect functions. - I don't like buttons. By touch it can be difficult to understand which button is which. Instead of large buttons, they made protruding icons "⏯", "+", "-", etc., it's not so easy to identify them by touch. There are no separate buttons for switching tracks, for this you need to press the pause button two / three times. Pause must also be pressed to accept / reject calls. Press it to activate the voice assistant. You can set the mode switch key to call the voice assistant, but then you lose the ability to actually switch modes. - Switching modes is accompanied by a voice assistant in English (the language does not change): "off", "noise cancelling", "ambient sound". Because of this, the switching is rather slow. - Emitters are large enough, you can't lie on your side with them. Perhaps in winter they will interfere with wearing a hat, we'll see. - Charging via microUSB, when USB Type-C is used everywhere now.
