I opted for this holder over a few other options I saw because the brushed metal and sleeker design were worth the few extra dollars to me. I'm happy to report that it was even better in person than I expected. I attached it to the underside of a painted wooden shelf and it stuck like glue immediately. My initial concern that the upturned end might be too sharp an angle to easily get the paper towel over was totally wrong - easy as pie.The only advice I would offer if you decide to purchase this product (other than to go for it!) is to spend a little more than the 2.5 seconds I spent deciding where to stick it, because once it was stuck, it was there for good.
