The product works as intended and transfers data fairly quickly. I have used it on my Galaxy S6 phone and Samsung 12 inch Tablet Pro. Moving videos and photos between phone, tablet, SD card and USB flash drive is extremely fast and efficient. When I tried to insert a micro SD card, the reader didn't seem to recognize anything as none of my devices showed anything. Another disappointment was that when trying to connect an external hard drive (1TB) it wasn't recognized either. .The size of data it can read or recognize may be limited. Once plugged into my USB stick (4GB) it worked like a charm - movies, photos and documents showed up on my devices. Ideal for traveling and backing up photos/videos etc when you don't want to lug around your heavy laptop. .My goal is to travel and take photos with my DSLR. I used this gadget to transfer files to my tablet and upload them to a cloud drive for later access and editing.
