Great insight into your car

I got this to check the health of 5 different cars in my family. One of them have a warning light and the OBD2 scanner was able to provide insight and clear the light. Luckily it wasn’t a big problem and I didn’t have to goto the shop. I feel cars should come with OBD2 scanner so users can tell what’s wrong instead of always having to take it to the shop. It’s a hassle and you have to find a trustworthy shop.Anyways, I really like that the OBD2 scanner is wireless. The dongle connecting wirelessly allows me to move freely around the car with the main unit. The main unit have a huge screen and provides quite a lot of informations. I’m still learning but it’s easy to reset lights, and check basic health. The manual is big and details quite a bit of stuff. Overall I think is a good unit to have, especially if you have an older car that needs more frequent check ups. Saved me a trip to the shop already and should pay for itself overtime.

Cons
  • The THINKCAR scanner requires a smartphone or tablet to function, which may be a point of inconvenience for those who prefer to keep their diagnostic tools separate from their personal devices
