Vertical lines and flicker
A few months later, persistent vertical stripes appeared on the screen, visible even on the logo at boot time, and flickered. All cables turned off and unplugged as some have suggested on the forums, but no dice. It got better, but the burnout effect is still there. I'm opening a case with Acer. It seems this is not an isolated case, google this issue.
