I bought this remote to replace the original remote I had (over 8 years) when it finally died. This worked as expected for 12 months, but then went on the road at times. I changed the battery (3 times) to fix the problem but to no avail. First it worked with a battery change long enough to reassure you, then it dropped the connection to the receiver and turned off the ignition. Needless to say, this was incredibly frustrating and required many hours of troubleshooting. I contacted the supplier but they said that "the exchange period is long past". They declined to comment on the exchange period but do not expect it to last more than a year. My advice is if you buy this one, buy two and keep a spare because you can't trust the reliability. That or go to a more reputable provider. It is clear that they are not of the same quality as in the original workshop.
