I bought these pegs because I love hanging fresh laundry during the summer months. I've always used wooden clothespins in the past, but lately we've been concerned about wasps that love to bite pieces of wood off them to use to build their nests. I almost grabbed the wasp as I reached over to take the towel off the line. I bought these to use instead and not worry about getting stung again. There are a lot of these in the packaging so I also use some as clips to keep snack bags sealed and fresh. They also serve as giant paperclips. Very elegant
