I haven't found a water filter specifically for hard water in a long time. The house I rent has hard water from the well and it was terrible for my skin and stringy hair. This filter is AMAZING! I've been using it for about 2 weeks and I've noticed a significant improvement in the condition of my skin and hair. My skin no longer feels dry and my hair is smoother and less coppery. As my water is very hard I am not sure if it will last the full 6 months but I would like to use this filter for 3-4 months before buying a new filter. This is the only filter I've tried so far that doesn't clog for the first few weeks. I still have amazing water pressure. I had to get creative to put it in the shower but I didn't put too much thought into it and it works so well it was worth the effort to put it in the shower!
