Very thick and holds up well
The corner guards are really thick which is nice but not too soft. I used to have softer corners. It's definitely better than your little one bumping into an open corner, although that's for sure. He seems to have a strong cane so I'm a little worried about damaging the table but again better than our son to just pull them out. The color certainly goes better with one wood than another. I posted a photo of them versus our bookshelf and coffee table.
