Works exactly as advertised at a great price!

I used a couple of troublesome HDMI switchers that claimed to be 4K UHD HDR HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2 compatible. I can't tell you about the problems I've had with them. Everything from the occasional handshake loss to shaky automatic switching to blank screens, black screens, and fuzzy colors. It was an adventure. This PONYBRO 5-port switch finally nailed it. I have a Sony Bravia XBR-800E and only HDMI ports 2 and 3 support HDR. HDMI 3 is used for the ARC soundbar, leaving only an HDMI 2 port for my Roku Ultra, Sony 4K Blu-Ray player and PS 5. I needed a decent switch for my expandable devices. . The PONYBRO Switch works flawlessly with all three of my devices. Finally I was able to set my Roku Ultra to 4K UHD @ 60 with 4.2.2 chroma subsampling and everything runs smoothly. The switch smoothly switches ports and does not lose the handshake for any of the devices. PS5 works great in 4K UHD @ 60 4.4.4. This PONYBRO switch isn't a fancy splitter, but as a solid, well-built basic 5-port HDMI switch, it's excellent value for money. At least for me. Beware of those having trouble with this switch. Before blaming the switch, double-check your cables and port settings on all your devices. I used cables labeled as 18GB 4K UHD HDR Certified, but they were part of the problem. I have replaced all my cables with new certified cables. This probably helped the situation for me too. I also verified that my device's ports support HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2 and configured them appropriately. It is enough for one cable to be unreliable in your entire setup and this leads to all sorts of problems not only on the device the cable is connected to but others as well. And all HDMI connectors are not created equal. I have three HDMI ports on my TV. Only two of them are fully compatible with HDMI 20.a and HDCP 2.2. One of these is the ARC port, so I only had one port for the rest of my devices. HDMI 1 on my TV is NOT fully supported, but it is not marked anywhere on the port. only in the documentation.
