This device cannot be downgraded when using a standard XBox HDMI cable.

I chose this one so I don't have to switch between the TV and my XBox from the TV itself as it's not fast. My XBox is connected to my 4K TV and I've been gaming with the cable connected for over a year. I disconnected the cable from the TV and connected it to the second port on the switch. Then I pressed #2 on the remote control. The XBox screen came on and then started turning on and off. At first I thought the box was defective. I opted for a more expensive cable. Works great.: Selector Switch Boxes

This switch has a "manual" feature that makes it better than any other I've tried for my purpose. The manual function stops automatic switching to a new input when power is supplied from a new source. While this action is fine for some purposes, and this is how this switch works when you select this option, it's difficult to tell which HDMI port is active. Works exactly as advertised at a great price!

I used a couple of troublesome HDMI switchers that claimed to be 4K UHD HDR HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2 compatible. I can't tell you about the problems I've had with them. Everything from the occasional handshake loss to shaky automatic switching to blank screens, black screens, and fuzzy colors. It was an adventure. This PONYBRO 5-port switch finally nailed it.
