First impression: This is the best shaver I have ever had. It has a very pleasant weight, a great grip and just as I had imagined a perfect blade alignment. I've been thinking about an adjustable razor for a long time. The idea of being able to use each blade with the same razor and adjust it as needed seemed like a no-brainer. But I still skip the time and I'm so glad I did. This razor has a unique feature that no other adjustable razor has. One side of the razor head is shaped and the other side is a straight bar, THAT'S THE DIFFERENCE. I shaved it shortly after it arrived, couldn't wait. It's a very, and I mean very, efficient razor. I don't think that if you are new to wet shaving you should learn how to use this razor. He will easily cut through those mustaches. Now I don't cut myself or don't cut myself. But I took my time and have been shaving for a minute now and my technique is fine. 3 courses, with, cross and against. I used shaving cream and a viking blade (the razor has no blades) and decided to just do a full shave with a viking blade. Where the shaped and straight rod head made a difference. .My sensitive areas on my face: under my chin, around my mustache and generally on my neck when shaving to prevent hair growth. I used the straight side of the bar for these areas and it was just plain smooth. No irritation after shaving. In general, what a razor! No nicks, cuts or irritation. Alum block tested. This razor can do it all. Although I wouldn't recommend it for new wet razors (how to learn how to use that razor) because efficiency can mean aggressiveness when you're still learning. If you're new to wet shaving, you need this razor because you'll want to try a whole range of blades. Not every blade will work for you, some blades just won't work with certain razors. But you can make any blade work well with this razor by simply adjusting it, and you can use a straight wand for problem areas. You will not regret buying this razor.
