Excellent solid mounting system. This 9 foot HF HAM antenna pin when removed from the roof rack hits street lights and this mount has had no issues so that's proof enough for me. When it was tied to the roof rack I had no problems either. The bracket comes with tools to tighten everything up. I would recommend tightening the blue latch on any threads I have left to do on this one. The bracket is fully adjustable in angle and distance to the car's sunroof. When I bought this and mounted the antenna like this I was worried that it might damage the spoiler on the truck but no problem so far. Now all I have to do is lock all devices tight and connect/ground the entire vehicle to provide a perfect ground plane for RF communications. Yes, not ready yet.
