I've spent decades trying to cook bacon the wrong way (stovetop and microwave) to figure out the best way. Cooking bacon on the stovetop is messy, it splatters on the stovetop and countertop, and it's easy to overcook. Using a microwave seems like the best route, but the steam and grease that will clog your microwave after a few years will ruin it. Not to mention that most microwaves have a fan that vents through the bottom, which messed up my granite countertop terribly. So much so that I now have to hold the microwave in that spot to hide the stain. Baking bacon is how restaurants do it and it works very well. I highly recommend this pan.
