Fine with screen protectors

While this product's installation system makes it easy to line it up correctly, it's a wet and labor-intensive process. I installed it late at night and spent a good 30 minutes installing it especially trying to tape the edges. After a few hours, strange rainbow effects appeared and what appeared to be bubbles under the screen. I was tempted to remove the protection and reinstall the backup, but I left it until the morning when all the inconsistencies were gone and it looked uniform. In general I was satisfied. However, I have a few issues with this screen protector. 1) This is a soft screen protector that offers absolutely no shock protection. If you drop this thing it will crack like an unprotected screen. 2) Because the protective material is soft, it has a sticky texture and a much higher coefficient of friction than the glass screen surface. If you use the S Pen on it, it will leave marks (the dents will fade over time). The stylus and fingers don't slide over it as smoothly as on a glass pane either. 3) If you tilt the screen, you will find that it is not perfectly smooth but wavy. It's not noticeable with the screen on, but I'm wondering if there's image distortion. Overall the protector is fine if you want to protect it from scratches from, say, your keys in your pocket, but it lacks impact protection and makes using the S Pen uncomfortable. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it unless you're just interested in surface scratches.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Expensive
