So not all substrates are the same. Yes, it's a bit tacky when it dries, but after a quick spray with acrylic sealer, it's not tacky at all. And you should still use sealant to protect your work. It really depends on what you want to do with your art. I prefer it to Liquitex because it's more fluid and I have more control. If you want to make pouring and wiping really easy at a beginner level, you may need a thicker medium like Liquitex to form larger silicon cells. Have fun.
