I usually wear wool socks. I've been wearing DarnTough boot socks for a few years and decided to try MERIWOOL. They're thicker than my DarnToughs and meant for colder weather so I've only recently worn them as it gets quite chilly at night. Because they are thicker, my feet get a little warmer. It's so soft, fluffy and comfortable. The carving is also of good quality. A couple of pairs had bits of wool sticking out that I had to trim off, but that didn't affect the integrity of the socks, but otherwise everything was fine. I can't say how they hold up over the long term. So far, so good. If they wear out quicker than they should or something else comes up I will definitely come back and change my rating.
