Holes in two months

I ordered these socks 2 months ago and was initially pleased with them and delighted with their comfort. Today I noticed that there are some "worn" holes on the soles of the socks. I wear them indoors or with shoes, so the wear and tear is inexplicable. I can only think that they are inferior. I've added a photo to prove the hole is not a crack but appears to be due to material thinning. As I said, they were comfortable at first, but the high price is not justified for two months of wear.

comfortable but no compression

They are nice and soft. Good padding and comfortable. The only thing I would warn you about is that the elastic band is stretchy enough to keep the sock on the foot, but there is no compression, which is typical of other hiking socks. I was working out in socks the other day and found my foot stuck to the tread on an incline, but my foot slipped into the sock. I wouldn't expect that from a hiking or gym sock with a more durable elastic band. However, once inside a shoe or boot, they seem fine…

Very warm and comfortable, made from 100% high-quality merino wool!

I usually wear wool socks. I've been wearing DarnTough boot socks for a few years and decided to try MERIWOOL. They're thicker than my DarnToughs and meant for colder weather so I've only recently worn them as it gets quite chilly at night. Because they are thicker, my feet get a little warmer. It's so soft, fluffy and comfortable. The carving is also of good quality. A couple of pairs had bits of wool sticking out that I had to trim off, but that didn't affect the integrity of the socks, but…

Very comfortable and they really help with the smell.

The cheap price made it hard for me to spend more than $6 on a pair of socks, but I really needed something to keep my new Red Wing boots from ruining my unholy foot stink. Between the boot dryer, the occasional foot wash with antibacterial soap, the use of deodorant antiperspirant spray on the top and bottom of my awful hobbit feet, and the use of those unexpectedly comfortable socks, the stink of my boots isn't as bad as it is could be. especially after drying. I will also add some odor…

No more smelly feet

We have a family friend who has a serious problem with foot odor. This is literally the worst thing I've ever experienced in my entire life. So after a lot of reading I discovered merino wool and thought it would be too good to be true if it actually worked. What you need to know about merino wool: 1) You need socks with a high proportion of merino wool, usually 70% or more 2) Merino wool is brittle and wears out quickly. Do not tumble dry. Don't wear them unless they're in your shoes. This…

Great socks for the price!

Fantastic socks, especially for the price. I'm a big fan of wool socks. I wear wool in all weather conditions (+100°F to below zero) and prefer wool to any other fabric by a large margin. I don't wear cotton socks because I don't like walking around with cold, wet, calloused feet. If you are in the know, you know that wool retains its insulating properties even when wet and, unlike cotton, wool helps prevent blisters from forming. Wool also stinks less if you air it between wears, but it should

Meriwool 3 pairs of socks Review

My personal review is based on my experience of two missions and one training exercise. .In this case I volunteered to serve in Puerto Rico, high humidity and temperatures in excess of 80 degrees meant I could travel EASY, especially through the rural/mountain areas. My legs must have suffered a lot on 12-16 hour shifts. There were times when I didn't have access to a laundry and by day 5 was literally wearing a pair (aired at night), the socks just started to have a vague smell. I could switch

First Thoughts: These are serious socks for the money!

I live and work in Hawaii where my everyday shoes are usually hiking or work shoes. I also travel frequently to Japan where the summers can be excruciatingly hot and muggy and my everyday footwear is hiking or tactical boots. Socks are important in these conditions. Even for someone like me who doesn't have much body odor and I'm certainly not prone to foot odor, playing with inferior poly-cotton socks in boots like this will make your feet stink. I know it seems contradictory to most that such
